This course identifies common tools, technology and techniques used in the tourism and hospitality industry. It is designed to primarily focus on the student's ability to recognize, evaluate and integrate business technologies in order to create value, solve contemporary issues, and gain competitive advantage in the tech-driven business environment of the tourism industry. Students will learn about the technological principles of e-commerce systems, various business models, payment services, and internet-based marketing. The goal is for students to be able to select and implement effective commerce strategies for tourism businesses.
