Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) is one of the three program components of the National Training Service (NSTP-RA 9163). The two other programs are Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) and Literacy Training. CWTS aims to develop the youth’s sense of responsibility, duty and commitment as well as the necessary skills to render voluntary service for the betterment of the community, and subsequently, of the nation. CWTS’ learning activities and experience of rendering civic service are expected to enhance the youth’s four-fold nature as man, i./e., intellectual, physical, moral/spiritual, and social.
