Purposive Communication I is an introductory course that focuses on the effective use of language in various contexts, audiences, and purposes. It equips students with foundational skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, emphasizing clarity, coherence, and critical thinking. The course trains learners to analyze different communication situations and to produce well‑structured, audience‑appropriate messages using diverse modes and platforms—written, oral, visual, and digital.

Students explore communication principles, intercultural communication, ethics, and the dynamics of communication in academic, professional, and social settings. Through practical tasks such as academic essays, reports, presentations, and collaborative activities, learners develop the ability to communicate purposefully and responsibly in local and global environments.
